Community Service Projects
FBLA participates in many local community service projects throughout the year. All members are expected to help out with community service projects to meet the requirements of being an active member. All members have to attend Town Clean-Up Day each March in order to meet the requirements for a stole at graduation. We are also affiliated two national service organizations, Project Ask and Lead 2 Feed. These projects also can be used to as the Community Service Award (CSA) hours.
Scarecrow WalkEach year we join up with the town's annual Scarecrow Walk and enter in a scarecrow. Normally we have a few meetings to come up with a design and make the scarecrow. The scarecrow is displayed outside of ACS for the entire month of October.
Project ASKProject ASK is Virginia FBLA's statewide community service project. ASK helps support children financially, socially, and spiritually while battling cancer.

Christmas Variety ShowThe Christmas Variety Show is held in December of each year in order to raise funds for Project ASK. Teachers and staff perform skits, dance, and sing to bring in the holiday season and support Project ASK. Members help out by running the show from lighting, ticket sales, etc.

Lead 2 FeedLead2Feed is a new program added nationally to FBLA. It is a student leadership based program that helps students learn through ten lessons on how to become leaders while fighting hunger. After finishing the lessons students are to create a project in order to raise awareness and food for hunger relief.
